This course covers the basic make-up of minerals that make up rocks, their crystallographic, physical, chemical, and structural properties. The main part of the course is a study of the different groups of minerals, most mineral groups are based on their silicate structures and chemistry. In addition, laboratory time is spent on hand specimen identification of minerals.

Introduce the most basic information on the issues of stratigraphy, magma, tectonics and geological resources of the territory of Vietnam as well as their significance for many fields of science and socio-economic of the country.
