In the oil and gas industry, engineers frequently work with measurement data, operational reports, equipment logs, well parameters, and technical systems. Manual processing using Excel or Word is often time-consuming and error-prone.
This course equips students with computational programming skills for engineers, covering Python syntax, primitive data types, control structures, vectors/lists, strings, data structures, functions, object-oriented programming with classes, file input/output, exceptions, and other programming constructs. Students will also learn how to use Python libraries to solve computational problems and gain hands-on experience by developing and executing Python programs written by themselves.
